A Seongsanpo ferry can arrive at Cheonjin Port or Haumokdong Port on Udo. Plan from the port you actually use, and confirm the return port and final departure that day before heading around the island.

Name the mainland terminal and Udo port
The Jeju Tourism Organization names Seongsanpo Port Comprehensive Passenger Terminal, 성산포항 종합여객터미널, and two possible Udo arrival ports: 천진항 Cheonjin and 하우목동항 Haumokdong. A ticket or map saying only “Udo” does not identify the landing point. Read the sailing information at the terminal and record the actual outward and intended return ports.

Prepare the boarding form and identity document
The official guide describes purchasing a round-trip ticket with a boarding form and ID. Have the documents ready at the terminal. For a foreign visitor, confirm which identity document the carrier accepts; this article does not establish that a photograph or photocopy is accepted. Keep the return ticket and any instructions together, separate from a general tourism booking voucher.

Build the island plan around the real arrival
The tourism guide says weather and vessel operations can alter times and arrival ports. Do not treat a published interval as a guaranteed departure. Once the actual port is confirmed, adjust your first stop and your route back. Locate the port itself in your map app; a beach, rental shop or café with a nearby name is not the ferry boarding location.

Confirm the return before your last stop
Before leaving the harbor area, confirm the day’s last usable return and where to board it. Leave a buffer for reaching that port and ticket/boarding checks. After a weather or operational change, recheck rather than retain the morning plan. Bringing a rental vehicle raises separate restrictions and insurance questions; obtain current carrier and rental-company guidance instead of assuming a passenger ticket covers the vehicle.

A worked example
Hypothetical plan: your saved walking route starts at Cheonjin, but the terminal announces a Haumokdong arrival. Change the first walking leg and pin Haumokdong in the app. Do not assume the return automatically uses the same port. Ask, record the day’s return point and time, then decide whether the final café stop fits. This is a planning example, not a live sailing schedule.
Official sources checked
Official sources for Udo ports and boarding preparation checked on 12 October 2026. This describes published guidance; recheck the conditions for your visit day. Examples are hypothetical planning exercises.
