Jeju Airport to Jungmun or Seogwipo: Which Bus Fits Your Hotel?

“Seogwipo” covers a large part of southern Jeju. The airport’s 600 limousine bus is useful for hotels along the Jungmun resort corridor and continues toward Seogwipo KAL Hotel. The 181 express bus reaches Seogwipo by a different inland route. Neither bus number alone tells you which stop is closest to your accommodation. Put the hotel’s Korean address into a current bus planner before choosing a route.

Start with the stop, then pick the bus

Central Seogwipo or the intercity-bus-terminal area Compare 181 with 600 and a local connection Do not assume either “Seogwipo” terminus is your hotel.
Seongsan, Pyoseon or western Jeju Search a different airport route A Seogwipo-bound 600 is not a general island sightseeing bus.
Jeju Airport bus 600 via Jungmun and bus 181 via inland 5.16 Road toward Seogwipo.
Choose by your hotel’s stop, not the city name.

The airport operator’s English page lists Route 600 outside Gate 5 and its stops through Jungmun, World Cup Stadium and Seogwipo KAL Hotel. Visit Jeju describes Route 181 going from the airport across the 5.16 Road to Seogwipo. These are different corridors, not faster and slower versions of an identical hotel shuttle.

Here are two stops you can actually search for on the official airport-to-Seogwipo 600 stop list. For Grand Josun Jeju, the list shows 그랜드 조선 제주[북]; for Jeju World Cup Stadium, it shows 제주월드컵경기장(600번). Both appear after 제주국제공항(600번) in that direction. A stop with a hotel’s name is not proof that it is beside your particular entrance: check the address, walking route and current service before relying on it.

Save this 600-bus return card: Grand Josun Jeju

This documented example matches one real destination’s official address with the route lists. It is neither a hotel recommendation nor a walk we tested.

From the airport The hotel directs guests to buses 600/601 outside airport Gate 5. This card covers only route 600, whose stop lists we checked.
Get off 그랜드 조선 제주[북] on the airport→Seogwipo KAL Hotel list · stop ID 406000483
Return to the airport The airport-bound 600 list uses the same stop name and ID 406000483. Do not automatically cross the road.
Before boarding Confirm the vehicle is heading to 제주국제공항(하차전용), and ask whether it goes to the airport.

We have not walked the connection from the stop to the Main or Hill Suite building, checked slopes or tested it with luggage. Ask the hotel about the entrance for your booked building. This card does not guarantee the last bus or waiting time.

Show the driver: “이 버스 제주공항으로 가나요?” (Does this bus go to Jeju Airport?) Ask the hotel: “그랜드 조선 제주[북] 정류장에서 제가 예약한 건물 입구로 어떻게 가나요?” (How do I reach my booked building’s entrance from this stop?)

At the airport: avoid the wrong “Seogwipo” bus

  1. Save the hotel’s Korean address and map pin. Find its nearest named bus stop; an English hotel name alone may identify the wrong property or a stop across a difficult road.
  2. On the Jeju Bus site, choose 출도착검색 (Departure/Arrival search). Set 출발지 (departure) to 제주국제공항; then set 도착지 (arrival) to a specific stop, such as 그랜드 조선 제주[북] or 제주월드컵경기장(600번), and run the search. If your hotel is not a stop name, identify its nearest stop on a map first instead of entering only “Seogwipo.”
  3. Read the suggested route and any transfer. For 600, open the airport-to-Seogwipo stop list and check that your stop comes after 제주국제공항(600번). On the timetable page, choose bus type 리무진 then route 600, or 급행 then 181; check the displayed direction, current departure and stop information. These are separate checks: a listed stop does not guarantee a useful bus after your flight.
  4. For Route 600, follow the current airport signs to the limousine stop outside Gate 5. For Route 181, check its own bus stop and direction instead of standing in the 600 queue.
  5. Tell the driver or station staff your destination stop. On board, follow the display; if your stop is unclear, ask before the bus passes it.

Useful Korean to show: 이 주소에 가까운 정류장이 어디인가요? — Which stop is close to this address? 600번 버스가 이 정류장에 서나요? — Does bus 600 stop here? Replace 600 with 181 when asking about the other route. A screenshot of your hotel pin makes the question far easier to answer.

Why this guide omits a “last bus” promise

The airport operator’s English and Korean transport pages displayed different first/last times for Route 600 when checked on 28 September 2026. A departure shown on an old guide or in another language cannot safely be treated as your departure. Verify the operator’s live schedule and the electronic stop display on the day. If a connection after the 600 or 181 is needed, check its last departure too. A bus that reaches Seogwipo after your local connection has stopped may not solve the trip.

If your flight is late or the stop is wrong

After a late landing, allow for baggage claim before comparing the next bus. If your intended service is gone, look for a current alternative through the airport desk, use the marked taxi stand or arrange a late check-in near the airport. For a taxi, show the driver 이 주소로 가 주세요. (“Please go to this address.”) Ask about the expected total and payment method before departure. Do not board a long-distance bus just because its display includes “Seogwipo.”

For the return, save the airport-bound boarding location and vehicle destination, your airport terminal and a generous check-in margin. The return stop is not always across the road. Weather and traffic can affect the journey.

If you will later head east, our Jeju and other destination guides can help you plan the next outing; they are separate from choosing tonight’s airport transfer.
