The airline displayed prominently on your booking may not operate your flight. With a codeshare, the marketing and operating carriers can differ. Incheon Airport warns that the actual terminal may change. Check your particular flight before travelling to Terminal 1 (T1) or Terminal 2 (T2).

- Read the operating-carrier line
- Search the exact flight
- Recheck on travel day
- Share T1/T2 with your pickup
Make three checks before departure
Find the travel date, flight number and ‘operated by’ line on your e-ticket. Search that flight number in Incheon Airport's official departure search. On travel day, compare the result with the operating airline's message and airport displays. Confirm the check-in counter and gate separately, because they can change too.
If the booking shows Airline A in large print but says ‘operated by B’ underneath, a generic terminal list for A is insufficient. Use the details of your actual flight.
If you arrive at the wrong terminal
If your journey begins at Incheon, first verify your flight number with an airport display or staff member. Then follow the airport's current inter-terminal transport directions. T1 and T2 are separate buildings; recalculate the time left before check-in closes rather than relying on an old fixed journey time.
International connecting passengers may need a different route. Do not assume the public route outside security applies to an airside transfer. Follow the airport's transfer guide and staff instructions; baggage and transfer screening depend on your itinerary.
Give your pickup contact the terminal
Tell a friend, taxi or pre-booked pickup T1 or T2, your flight number and arrival date. Confirm the exit and meeting point after landing to avoid a missed connection.
Airport flight information can change with operations. A screenshot saved days earlier is useful as a record, but it does not replace a check on travel day.
A worked example
Suppose your confirmation says ‘A123, operated by B.’ Identify the operating carrier and the number on the ticket, search for that date on the airport's official site, and compare again on travel day. A and B are placeholders, not real flight information.
Common questions
Is the airline logo enough?
No. Codeshare marketing and operating carriers can differ.
Does the terminal fix the counter and gate?
No. Those assignments can change separately.
Should a connecting passenger take the public shuttle?
Do not assume so. Follow Incheon's transfer-specific directions.
