Visit Busan Pass: When the Clock Starts and Why Screenshots Fail

A 24-hour or 48-hour Visit Busan Pass starts when your first included attraction issues its ticket. Prepare the physical card or the live QR in the purchase app before that visit; a mobile screenshot is not accepted.

Collect card or open live QR · Receive first attraction ticket · Check the running 24/48H period · Compare expiry with last entry · Illustrative activation clock with a separate entry check.

Choose the format you can actually present

An online physical-card order must be collected at a listed exchange location before you visit an attraction. A mobile pass is shown in the app where it was purchased. The operator rejects screenshots, printouts and PDF copies. Open that app while you still have a working connection and check that the QR appears; saving a screenshot does not create an accepted backup.

Start the clock at the first attraction

At the attraction’s ticket office, present the pass, receive an admission ticket, then enter. That first included ticket issuance activates the 24/48-hour period; the purchase date is not the start. Read each attraction’s conditions and any reservation requirement. A pass does not guarantee a space in a timed activity. BIG 3 and BIG 5 use attraction-group selections, so do not apply a 24-hour plan to those products.

Pay transport fares separately

The physical card can be topped up and used for transport before or after the attraction period. Transit fares come from that separate balance; they are not unlimited rides included in the attraction price. The mobile pass has no transport-card function. If you choose mobile, prepare another accepted transport payment method before reaching a subway gate or boarding a bus.

Check the expiry in the correct app

The official app calls its record “MY PASS”. A registered physical card or purchase from the official site can show history and expiry there. Mobile passes bought through another booking platform cannot be registered in the official app; use the purchase app instead. Before a last visit, compare its displayed expiry with that attraction’s ticketing deadline. Both checks matter.

A worked example

Hypothetical 24-hour plan: the first attraction issues a ticket at 15:00 on 17 October. The operator’s example means use through 14:59 on 18 October, not until midnight that day. If your next attraction accepts tickets only at 15:00, it falls outside that window. Moving the first visit is useful only if both venues’ opening and reservation rules still work.

Official sources checked

Official sources for pass activation and card/mobile differences checked on 12 October 2026. This describes published guidance; recheck the conditions for your visit day. Examples are hypothetical planning exercises.
