Jeju Olle Passport: Paper Stamps, QR Stamps and Your Route Check

Decide how you will record an Olle walk before starting. A paper stamp and the Olle Pass app’s QR stamp are different records; neither replaces checking the current route, its stamp points and your way back.

Choose paper or mobile record · Open the exact current course · Locate that course’s stamp points · Plan your exit and return · Gapado 10-1 has two stamp points, without a presumed middle point.
Gapado 10-1 has two stamp points, without a presumed middle point.

Choose the record you want to keep

If you have a paper passport, use its physical stamp spaces. The official Olle Pass app offers a separate mobile passport with QR stamps and a mobile completion record. Decide which record matters to you, then check its current completion conditions before assuming paper and digital histories are interchangeable. A phone photograph of a paper stamp is not described as an automatic app stamp.

Set up the official app before the trail

The official app describes route tracking, off-route alerts, stamp-proximity alerts and nearby restrooms/information centers. Install and open it while connected, find your selected route and inspect any purchase or permissions needed for the features you want. This guide has not tested every foreign account or offline mode. Keep a separate route note if the phone or connection becomes unavailable.

Check this route’s actual stamp points

Many route records use start, middle and finish points, but do not invent a middle stamp for every course. JTO specifically explains that Gapado Route 10-1 has start and finish stamps only. Check the current route page and the locations for your own course. Read any rerouting notice before following an old printed line or a previous walker’s uploaded map.

Plan an exit independently of collecting stamps

Write down start, planned finish, an earlier exit and the return transport you will check on the day. Those are your planning choices, not a promise from the stamp system. If you stop early, keep an honest incomplete record rather than assume the app must show a finished route. Any ferry or limited bus service needs its own current timetable, separate from trail completion.

A worked example

Hypothetical choice: you have a paper passport and want a mobile record for Gapado 10-1. Before departure, open the exact course and prepare the relevant mobile feature. JTO says this course has two physical stamp points; do not spend the walk searching for a nonexistent middle one. Check the island ferry separately. This example does not claim your app or ferry booking is already ready.

Official sources checked

Official sources for Olle recording features and Gapado stamp points checked on 12 October 2026. This describes published guidance; recheck the conditions for your visit day. Examples are hypothetical planning exercises.
