Nami Island Ferry Tickets: What Admission Includes and How to Plan the Return

The regular Nami Island admission ticket includes the return ferry. Your train ticket to Gapyeong does not take you onto the island, so plan the station-to-dock transfer and the journey home separately.

A train station links by road to a ferry dock, then by boat to an island; a return arrow follows the same stages.
Transport schematic: station arrival and island arrival are separate, and the return needs both transfers.

The operator’s FAQ lists standard admission with regular ferry both ways at 19,000 won, checked on 9 October 2026. It separately lists motorboat entry with a regular ferry return. Confirm the chosen product and age category at checkout instead of adding a second ferry fare to regular admission.

A travel package may include the island ticket or only road transport. Read its inclusions before paying twice. For discounts requiring evidence, check the operator’s conditions and take the specified document.

Official guidance

Save the mainland dock, not just the island pin

KTO identifies the ferry dock at 1024 Bukhangangbyeon-ro, Gapyeong-eup, Gapyeong-gun: 경기도 가평군 가평읍 북한강변로 1024. If you arrive at Gapyeong Station, that is another location. Use a current map or the operator’s directions to arrange the final mainland transfer.

For a taxi, show the address and say “남이섬 선착장으로 가 주세요”—“Please take me to the Nami Island ferry dock.” Check the displayed destination before moving. Allow a ferry queue rather than treating rail arrival as island arrival.

Work backwards from your return train

Check the operator’s current ferry notice for your actual date. Older seasonal extensions are not a timetable for this autumn. Note the last island departure, then leave time to get from the mainland dock to your booked train or bus.

Set your island departure earlier than the final connection needs. If weather changes the crossings, follow staff instructions and revise the onward journey. Save your return booking and a mainland transport alternative offline.

A worked example

A 17:00 train from Gapyeong is not a 17:00 ferry target. You still need the crossing, dock exit and station transfer before boarding the train; choose your ferry only after checking those parts.

Common questions

Do I need a separate return ferry ticket with regular admission?

The operator’s regular admission includes the round-trip ferry. Check the exact product if an agency sells it.

Is Gapyeong Station the dock?

No. Plan the mainland transfer separately.
