For an eligible Korean Air flight from Incheon, Seoul Station can handle check-in and bag drop. You need an AREX Express ticket and must finish check-in at least 3 hours 20 minutes before departure.

Check the operating carrier first
Korean Air’s rule covers its international flights leaving Incheon on the same day, including codeshares operated by a Korean Air aircraft under another carrier’s flight number. Check “operated by” on your booking. A Korean Air flight number alone does not prove eligibility for a partner-operated flight.
Check your passenger and baggage eligibility before buying an Express ticket for this purpose. Korean Air excludes unaccompanied minors, passengers needing special assistance such as wheelchair service, passengers travelling with pets, and charter or non-scheduled flights with four-digit numbers starting with 8 or 9. Special-handling sports equipment, musical instruments and oversized baggage are not accepted here, except golf clubs. Confirm any such needs with Korean Air and plan airport check-in instead if this service is unavailable.
This article concerns Korean Air at Seoul Station. Other airlines and the Gwangmyeong terminal have their own conditions. Confirm your exact flight with the airline if the itinerary is unusual.
Subtract 3 hours 20 minutes, then allow a queue
The published Seoul Station counter hours are 05:20–19:00. The flight-specific check-in cutoff is 3 hours 20 minutes before departure. You must meet both limits; reaching the station at the cutoff is too late to plan around.
For a 20:00 flight, the subtraction gives 16:40. That is a cutoff example, not a suggested arrival time. Add walking and queue time before it. Save your passport, flight booking and Express train confirmation where you can retrieve them quickly.
Follow the full departure sequence
At Seoul Station B2, buy or present the appropriate Express ticket, complete airline check-in and baggage drop, then follow the immigration-screening instructions. Keep the boarding pass and baggage receipt. Ask staff about any bag that needs special handling before handing it over.
Take the Express to your confirmed airport terminal. The city procedure does not remove airport security screening: follow the designated departure passage if eligible, clear security, and reach the boarding gate by your airline’s deadline. Do not leave passport, medicine or boarding essentials in checked luggage.

A worked example
Your ticket shows another airline’s code but says “operated by Korean Air.” Check that it leaves Incheon today, then apply the Korean Air deadline. If it is partner-operated, ask the airline before buying a train ticket specifically for city check-in.
Common questions
Can I use the All-Stop train for this service?
Korean Air’s Seoul Station guidance requires Express train passengers.
Does city check-in mean I skip security?
No. Security screening remains at Incheon.
